Refund & Cancellation

This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and returns work for orders placed through Biskit in India. Because Biskit currently supports Cash on Delivery only, the refund process is simpler than a typical e-commerce platform.
1. Payment Method
Biskit supports Cash on Delivery (COD) as the only payment method at this time. Payment is collected by the delivery person when your order is handed over. Since no payment is taken in advance, refund situations apply only to specific cases described below.
2. Cancelling an Order
You can cancel an order yourself from the order tracking screen while its status is still "Order pakka" (confirmed). Once the store starts preparing the order (status moves to "Pack ho raha hai" or beyond), the cancel option is no longer available. If you need to cancel after that point, please call the store directly using the Help screen — they may be able to accommodate you depending on how far along the order is.
3. Cancellation by the Store
The partner store may cancel an order if an item is unavailable, the delivery address is outside its serviceable area, or other operational issues arise. You will be notified through the app. No payment is due in this case.
4. Refunds After Delivery
Because payment happens at delivery, refunds for delivered orders are generally not applicable. Please inspect the items before handing cash to the delivery person.
5. Wrong or Damaged Items
If you receive a wrong, missing, or damaged item, please contact the partner store from the Help screen within 24 hours of delivery. The store will work with you to resolve the issue — typically by replacing the item on the next delivery run or by adjusting the amount paid.
6. Perishable Goods
Perishable items (fresh produce, dairy, and similar) cannot be returned once accepted at delivery. If the item is visibly spoiled or expired when handed over, refuse the item at the doorstep and notify the store immediately.
7. Future Payment Methods
Once additional payment methods (UPI, cards) are introduced, this policy will be updated to describe how refunds are processed for prepaid orders. The current policy applies only to COD orders.
